Our Heirloom Lettuce Mix is for salads you actually look forward to eating. We seed several heirloom varieties side by side - oakleaf, romaine types, crispheads, and looseleafs - then harvest the heads young for tender leaves with serious crunch.

Grown in our Ancient Deep Mulch system, the plants sit on a cool, moist blanket of organic matter and biologically active compost. That steady environment lets them build sweetness and color instead of going limp or bitter. In your bowl, that means layers of texture: frilly edges, sturdy ribs, and soft inner leaves that catch dressing without collapsing.

This mix works anywhere you'd use a classic lettuce: piled under grilled fish or chicken, tucked into lettuce wraps, or as a simple side with vinegar, oil, and a pinch of salt. Because the leaves are soil-grown and freshly cut, they stay crisp in the fridge longer than boxed greens that have traveled for days.
