Our Farm Education & Training is built for people who want to grow food seriously - whether that means a high-yield backyard, a micro-farm, or a full farm business.
We teach exactly what we use on our own plots: the Ancient Deep Mulch system, biologically active compost, low-disturbance bed prep, and simple field layouts that keep labor realistic on a small scale. You learn how to read your soil, plan seasons, stack plantings, and choose crops that actually sell or feed your household.
Sessions can focus on:
- Soil-regenerating methods that reduce weeding and watering
- Step-by-step ADM bed establishment and maintenance
- Crop planning for continuous greens, roots, and culturally important cooking greens
- Practical farm systems: harvest flow, wash/pack, and basic numbers
This is not theory for perfect conditions. We walk you through what has worked - and what hasn't - on two tight quarter-acre sites, so you can avoid expensive mistakes and build a system that fits your life, land, and budget.
Training is offered one-on-one, in small groups, or as on-farm workshops in Maryland. Reach out, share your goals and context, and we'll recommend a path that matches your experience level and timeline.
